The MockSport Guide

Everything you need to know about betting, tokens, and the game itself — one place, no real money involved, ever.

Reading Odds

Moneyline

The simplest bet: who wins, no points involved. A minus sign (e.g. -205) marks the favorite — wager 205 tokens to win 100. A plus sign (e.g. +150) marks the underdog — wager 100 tokens to win 150. The bigger the number, the bigger the favorite (or the underdog).

Spread Coming Soon

A bet on the margin of victory instead of just who wins. The favorite gets a negative number (e.g. -3.5) subtracted from their final score; the underdog gets that same number added to theirs (+3.5). Bet the favorite and they have to win by more than the spread to "cover" — bet the underdog and they cover if they win outright or lose by less than the spread. Spreads use half-points specifically so a bet can't land exactly on the line — but on the rare game where the API only offers a whole-number spread, an exact-margin finish is a push and your wager is refunded. Not bettable yet — see the News page for the launch announcement.

Totals (Over/Under) Coming Soon

Some games also offer a total — a single number (like 43.5) representing the combined score of both teams. Bet Over if you think the two teams will combine for more than that number, or Under if you think they'll combine for less — it doesn't matter who wins the game itself, only the total score. If the total lands exactly on the line, it's a push and your wager is refunded. Not bettable yet — see the News page for the launch announcement.

Reading the Board

On any sport's live odds board you'll see each team with its moneyline number next to it. Tap a game, pick a side, and enter how many tokens to wager — payout math is calculated automatically once the game finishes. (Spread and O/U options will appear here too once they launch.)

Ways to Bet

Single Bets

Pick a moneyline side on one game across NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, or soccer. Minimum wager is 10 tokens, maximum is 25% of your current balance.

Parlays

Combine 2 to 8 games from any sport into a single ticket from the Parlay page. Every leg has to win — lose any one leg and the whole ticket loses. In exchange, the odds for every leg multiply together, so a winning parlay pays out far more than betting each game alone. (Parlay legs are moneyline picks only — spreads and totals aren't available as a parlay leg yet.)

Friend Challenges

Challenge a friend head-to-head on any game: you each pick a side and match the same stake. Winner takes both stakes. Set these up from the Friends page.

Tokens

Getting Tokens

Everyone starts with 1,000 free tokens. Come back daily for a streak bonus that grows the longer your streak runs — up to 750 tokens on day 7, then it cycles again.

Wager Limits

Every bet type has the same guardrails: a 10-token minimum and a maximum of 25% of your current balance, so one bad bet can't wipe you out in a single tap.

Friends, Leaderboard & Badges

Leaderboard

Ranked by net tokens won this week, globally or just among your friends. Every win and loss across single bets, parlays, and challenges counts toward it.

Badges

Earn badges for milestones like your first win, a 200+ token win on one bet, building a friend group, winning challenges, or landing a 3+ leg parlay.

Player Profiles

Every player has a public profile showing their total wagers, how many tokens they're up or down overall, their single biggest win, and their "craziest win" — the longest odds they've ever hit. Find a friend's profile from the leaderboard, friends list, or a challenge.

The Fine Print

It's Free to Play, Always

Tokens have no cash value. They can't be purchased, redeemed, or exchanged for real money or prizes — this is a risk-free way to practice reading odds and betting like a sportsbook, not a place to gamble real money. You must be 17+ to play.
