Responsible Play
MockSport is free-to-play and no real money is ever on the line — but the habits that make sports betting risky can still show up in a token-based game. Here's how to keep it fun.
It's a Game, Not an Investment
Tokens have no cash value and can't be cashed out — see our Terms. Treat wins and losses the same way you'd treat a score in any other game, not as money won or lost.
Set Your Own Limits
Decide ahead of time how much time you want to spend on MockSport, and stop when you hit it. If you notice yourself checking the app compulsively or losing track of time, that's a good signal to take a break.
MockSport has built-in tools for this in Me → Responsible play: a weekly bet limit (raising it takes 24 hours), a take-a-break option that pauses betting for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days and can't be cancelled early, and a playtime reminder that checks in every 30, 60 or 120 minutes.
Daily Bonus, Streaks & Ads Are Optional
The Daily Bonus streak and rewarded ads are there for a little extra fun — not obligations. Missing a day doesn't cost you anything real, and you should never feel pressured to log in or watch an ad you don't want to.
Don't Chase a "Loss"
Increasing your wager to win back tokens you lost is a habit worth noticing, even when the tokens aren't real. If a bad run has you upping your bets to feel even, step away for the day.
Know the Warning Signs
Betting (real or virtual) can become a problem when it starts affecting your sleep, mood, relationships, schoolwork, or other responsibilities, or when you feel unable to stop even when you want to. These signs are worth taking seriously wherever they show up.
If You Need to Talk to Someone
MockSport doesn't involve real-money gambling, but if sports betting or gambling in general — on MockSport, another app, or in person — is starting to feel like a problem for you or someone you know, free and confidential help is available 24/7 in the US: call or text the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700, or chat at ncpgambling.org. In the UK, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 (free, 24/7). Outside the US and UK, a quick search for "problem gambling helpline" plus your country will find a local equivalent.
