Type odds in any format and see them in every other format, plus the win chance they imply.
How odds formats compare
All three formats say the same thing in different ways. American odds use a minus sign for favorites (-150 means you risk 150 to win 100) and a plus sign for underdogs (+130 means 100 wins 130). Decimal odds show the total return per 1 staked, stake included: 2.30 returns 2.30. Fractional odds show profit over stake: 13/10 wins 13 for every 10 staked.
Example: -150 is the same as 1.67 decimal and 4/6 fractional, and implies about a 60% chance.
FAQ
How do I convert American odds to decimal?
For plus odds, divide by 100 and add 1 (+150 = 2.50). For minus odds, divide 100 by the number without the minus sign and add 1 (-150 = 1.67).
What does +100 mean?
It is an even-money price: a 100 stake wins 100. In decimal it is 2.00 and in fractional 1/1, or "evens".
Which odds format is best?
None is better. American is common in the US, decimal in Europe and Australia, fractional in the UK. Decimal is the easiest for quick payout math.
