MockSport is a free sports predictions game. You make picks on real games using play-money tokens, compete with friends and climb leaderboards. There are no deposits, no purchases of tokens and no prizes. It's for fun and learning, and it's for adults 17 and older. Here's how everything works.
Getting started
- Sign up. It's free, with no card or deposit required.
- Get your tokens. Every new player starts with 1,000 free tokens.
- Pick a game. Browse upcoming games on the odds page across sports like the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and soccer.
- Make your pick. Choose a side and how many tokens to wager.
- Follow the game. Watch live scores and see how your pick does.
Tokens
Tokens are MockSport's play money.
- They have no cash value.
- They can't be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed.
- You earn more through features like the daily bonus and friend invites.
Think of tokens as a scoreboard for your predictions.
Making picks
MockSport shows real odds, and you can pick:
- Moneylines: who wins. See moneyline bets.
- Spreads: who covers. See point spreads explained.
- Totals: over or under. See over/under totals.
The payout is calculated for you before you confirm.
Worked example
A team is listed at +150. You wager 50 tokens.
- If they win: profit = 50 × 1.5 = 75 tokens, total return 125.
- If they lose: you lose 50 tokens.
A favorite at -200 with 50 tokens:
- Profit = 50 × (100 ÷ 200) = 25 tokens, total return 75.
Stake limits
Each wager has:
- A minimum of 10 tokens.
- A maximum of 25% of your current balance.
These limits help prevent one pick from wiping out your balance. We recommend going smaller still, around 1% to 3% of your balance. See bankroll management.
Parlays
You can combine several picks into a parlay for a bigger payout. All legs must win. The combined odds are shown before you confirm. Parlays are fun but hard to win. See parlays explained.

Leaderboards
Leaderboards rank players by net tokens won each week, either globally or among your friends. Every win and loss counts, so consistent, disciplined picking tends to rise over time.
Friends and challenges
- Add friends to see their activity and compete on a friends leaderboard.
- Head-to-head challenges: challenge a friend on any game. You each pick a side and match the same stake. The winner takes the tokens. See head-to-head challenges.
- Invite friends: share your invite link. When a friend joins with it, you both get 200 bonus tokens.
Pick'em
MockSport's Pick'em mode lets you predict a slate of games and compare results with others, in the spirit of classic office and friend-group pools. It's free and play-money only. See Pick'em strategy.
Daily bonus
Come back daily to claim a bonus. Your streak grows through the week, up to 750 tokens on day 7, then the cycle repeats. The daily bonus is optional. There's no penalty for skipping days.
Badges and stats
Your profile tracks your history, including picks made and your record. Badges reward milestones like winning challenges or landing a multi-leg parlay. Reviewing your stats is one of the best ways to learn. See common beginner mistakes.
Optional ads
MockSport may show ads, including optional rewarded ads that grant tokens for watching. They're entirely optional.

- Set a unit of about 20 tokens (2% of your starting balance).
- Make a handful of picks across a few sports, writing a one-line reason for each.

- At the end of the week, review your history and see what you learned.
